SUMMARY

MacRae Wylde is a rising star metal sculptor from Hood River, Oregon, with public installations throughout the country and he is the winner of numerous sculpture show awards. “Stevo’s Dream, The Ultimate Flying Machine” is a whimsical vision of a spaceship that has just landed in front of you. The materials for Stevo’s Dream were re-shaped from the structural supports of a demolished building. See the rocket engine on the lower right, three portholes, landing gear, aerodynamic upward nose of the rocket, and the red cedar “gargoyle” that is the pilot.

ABOUT THE SCULPTURE

Stevo’s Dream, The Ultimate Flying Machine is a whimsical vision of a spaceship that has just landed in the Sculpture Forest.  You can see the rocket engine on the lower right, three portholes, landing gear, and the aerodynamic upward nose of the rocket.  The red cedar “gargoyle” is the pilot.

The materials for Stevo’s Dream were re-shaped from the structure of a demolished building.  This is its 4th incarnation with the same materials, as MacRae has modified it multiple times until completed to his satisfaction.  It had finally arrived at its happy place.
