ABOUT THE SCULPTURE
Joe chose to make a gorilla because they are so appealing to people and it brings him back to his childhood. Joe had a passion for playing with plastic animal figures as a boy. Like the other animals in his current home’s yard, he thinks passersby are transported to a younger time and the children are fascinated with how lifelike his art pieces are. Even wildlife reacts to his sculptural animals. It pleases Joe to fool people and bring smiles and laughter. It’s impossible to drive by his collection without a smile.
