Hanne Poulsen is an aspiring author from Kirkland, Washington who loves to travel, watch the Sounders, and photograph nature.  She and her parents were looking to escape the heat of the city, so they ventured out on a ferry to Whidbey and went exploring.  At the Sculpture Forest, she saw life unfurling before her and photographed a fern fiddlehead reaching out to the sun.

“It was a nice stroll through the woods, protected from the warm sun. My favorite sculpture is the eagle, looking like it’s flying through the forest, almost like a shadow depending on the angle and how the sun hit. Looking forward to stopping by again at a different time of year to see how things look as the seasons change.”
