We have officially attained 501(c)(3) nonprofit status with the IRS!  We were already a registered Washington nonprofit private foundation.  The next important step was to become a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization at the federal level.  This allows donors to make tax deductible donations and also enables us to be eligible for grants.
