After 6 years of thinking about it, 3 years of actively pursuing it, and lots of unusual paths along the way, we finally own Whidbey Island land as of today! And it’s land we love, with a great ecosystem, pretty location, and a size large enough to have some fun and privacy with.

It seems amazing to have finally completed this part of the journey, though now there’s a lot ahead of us for next steps. However, those next steps are not immediately pressing and a relaxed pace will be the priority right now.

We celebrated with Japanese dinner at Boom Noodle in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle. Good food, and an even better toast.

I look forward to hanging out on the property more, and getting to know it. It’s fun thinking of possibilities… it’s all open options…
