Official construction and use permits were received from Island County to proceed with the sculpture park! The county team was enthusiastic about the project from the start, and they were helpful in answering questions along the way.
Only one public comment of concern was received, and it involved inputs that did not actually apply to the property or project. The most complicated part of the process was dealing with state and tribe archaeology requirements, though I collaborated with various representatives to come to reasonable resolutions that meet their needs while also not being overly onerous for our nonprofit organization.
The total time was 3 months and 10 days for the county process, not including the couple months of preparation I invested in completing all of their required documents and plans.
Now on to the fun stuff!
