Our property has naturally occurring rhododendrons sprinkled here and there throughout the entire property, including two very large bushes that happen to frame our chosen driveway entrance. Many flowers are pink salmon colored, with other color varieties as well.

May is prime flowering season for rhodies on Whidbey Island, and local Meerkerk Gardens (www.meerkerkgardens.org) is really hopping this time of year.

We’re happy to have these beautiful plants already established on our property. They add unexpected surprises of bright color when walking through the dense green forest.
