A solid wood bench… perhaps a unique and simple use for a downed tree that sat around too long to be approved for structural use? This gets me thinking about other interior uses of “left-over” wood on the property: cut-off ends from longer sections, trees with too much sway, trunks with some localized rot. Lots of opportunities for both interior and exterior furniture, tables, shelves, and bases. Perhaps have straight planks cut plus round trunk cross-sections, stacking the cross-sections to create variable height shelving spacers that could also be easily disassembled and moved around…
